My interests include interactive speech systems, multimodal systems, usability design, human-computer interaction, interface evaluation, dialogue model development, dialogue theory, corpus annotation and analysis, and quality management.

I have a PhD in computer science from University of Copenhagen where I worked on knowledge representation and floor plan generation.
From 1991 to 1997 I worked at Roskilde University first as assistant professor and later as associate professor.
From 1997 to 2007 I worked at the University of Southern Denmark, first as associate professor and later as professor mso.
Since 2007 I have worked on research only in my sparetime.
